After 5years in the fitness training industry Rushda Moosajee has achieved many titles to her name. Rushda (or Rushtush as she is known on her twitter handle) is a women’s health and fitness motivator, personal trainer, gym owner at Glow Womens Physique and an online virtual trainer. Style Africa interviews Rushda on her passion for getting others to reach peak performance.

KICKSTART –
7 years ago I struggled with an injury after taking up running and yoga and consulted a personal trainer, who not only took my body beyond the concerns I had at the time, but changed the perception I had of personal trainers, weight lifting and the impact fitness could have on ones life.

INSPIRATION –
My clients, who work so damn hard, who put in the hours and make the sacrifices while successfully living hectic lives!! Also people that I’ve never met, who send me emails and messages telling me how their lives have changed, just by drawing inspiration from my habits and lifestyle.

COMMITTING TO A FITNESS ROUTINE-
I’d encourage anyone to make little sustainable changes until it becomes habit and build up on that. I’m not one for extreme anything and fads. I’m about longevity and maintenance. Pace yourself and follow a plan. Plans are geared toward progression. Don’t focus on weight loss and the aesthetic, focus on getting fitter and stronger and before you know it the weight is off and you enjoy this new person you have become, and its all so effortless. People should stop thinking weight loss and fitness is a battle. It is not.
