THE QUEEN-WARRIOR
Slay with this EGYPTIAN inspired look. Strong eye lines, bold shapes, and dusted gold is essential in capturing the leadership qualities and leading lady of a Queen from AFRICA.
THE-ZEN-WARRIOR
Drawing from the JAPANESE artistic hairstyle. Instead of cornrows we opted for mini buns and a fringe, darker tones around the eyes and mouth blended with softer tones in the inner parts of the eye to create a confident yet calm aura for our ZEN Warrior.
THE X-VISION WARRIOR
There’s something very attractive in a males gaze and it’s ability to capture your attention. So we drew the attention for this makeup look to the eyes, intensifying the darkness inward for a deeper gaze – nothing more needed for our X-VISION WARRIOR. The hair, the groomed and styled beard, with that coat perfectly align with the look we were going for.
THE MAGNETISM WARRIOR
Soft, subtle, and alluring. Purple is considered a seductive colour, so we toned it down with lavender which brings out both femininity and tranquility. We even rounded the eyebrow shape for a softer look. No need to emphasise natural beauty for our MAGNETISM WARRIOR.

THE TIME TRAVELER WARRIOR
Hair interweaved in braids, and makeup dark and intense. We decided to depict a hanging watch from the eye, symbolising the time we see passing. The intense colour use deepens the anxiety of growing old, and braids indicate how our lives are intertwined with each other .
Roshan Isaacs also takes our beauty spread and introduces WARRIORS that aren’t just fictional characters of our imagination but warriors of our everyday life. She asks the question: Are you a WARRIOR with SUPER POWERS? See article here.
