The women who wears Isabel de Villiers are beautiful and different. They are warriors, moms, entrepreneurs, trail blazers, creatives, strong and brave women. Their style can be described as simplistic, modern, and easy to wear.
The design label: Isabel de Villiers was born in 2012 . I saw the need for an inclusive fashion label – made and designed locally. I worked on the concept, business plan and a small capsule collection for 3 months before launching my first collection. Recently in 2020 Isabel de Villiers sister brand was launched – the Raw Collection consisting of ‘basic’s for minimalists : https://rawcollection.co.za/ .

“Our main inspiration and foundation of every collection is always the many shapes and sizes of South African women. Our AW21 collection was a celebration and reflection of our landscapes. Being in lockdown the past year – we wanted to bring the outside inside by colours, shapes and silhouettes used in the collection.”

The project Isabel de Villiers is most proud of, is with the colab store Convoy in Melville Johannesburg, which consists of designers traveling together in mutual support –
“like a little family”

Isabel also highlights sustainability and skills development – from concept to finished product, as most important for the growth of the South African fashion industry.

Usually i linke more colours (especially when I think of Africa 😉 – but this is quite nice, too. Especially I like the photos with the little “groups” – there is a seewt harmony in it.
