Made in South Africa – online fashion retailer, bridgeur, launches their South African store on 1st December 2021, giving South African consumers the chance to finally shop their favourite looks that were previously only available in the United States and Middle East.
Founded in 2018 by Shenai Bridglall, bridgeur offers contemporary womenswear to “the unapologetically fashionable #bridgeurBoss”. Empowering women is at the heart of everything that Shenai does and bridgeur is no different.

bridgeur is a contemporary womenswear brand made for the unapologetically fashionable #bridgeurBoss and has already captured the interest of notable South African talent, including Shashi Naidoo and Mishqah Parthiephal, amongst others who Shenai met during her time as a Miss South Africa finalist.
bridgeur caters to the needs and preferences of different customers by marketing their brand under two differentiated labels:
- bridgeur Signature garments include a patented signature print that depicts Aequitas (the latin concept of justice, equality and fairness) holding a balance scale and cornucopia, signifying that the world will flourish in abundance when both male and female have equal rights and opportunities.
- bridgeur On-Demand launches new styles every week, but operates an on-demand production model, so they only produce the number of garments that they sell, with predominantly recycled fabrics.
~ A portion of bridgeur company profits are donated to their founder’s non-profit, The EssBee Foundation, to fund tertiary education for girls from underrepresented backgrounds, therefore reducing the prominent gender inequality gap ~
