Award winning designer Denzil Pillay launches The Amory mens winter/fall collection in his hometown Kimberly. Reflecting on much of his own struggles, the collection features the characteristics of strong and brave men.
In 2017, Denzil explored the fashion industry by chance when a friend asked him to participate in a local fashion week; The Winter Wonderland held at the Kenilworth Racecourse. Denzil’s first collection WOW’d the audience, and this inspired him to further pursue a career in Fashion.
I didn’t know much about the fashion industry. I took the step to try it out and during the process I fell in love with fashion design.

THE ARMORY MENS COLLECTION
Understanding the challenges that comes with owning a small business, and having experienced the effects of the COVID pandemic on his own business, Denzil’s theme for his new line internalised the strength and bravery required to remain steadfast in “The Reviving of Small Businesses During the Covid Pandemic”. This lead to the creation of the AMORY WINTER/FALL MENS COLLECTION.
Drawing from Africa as a source of inspiration, THE AMORY MENS COLLECTION is a high-end collection, infused with gold African tribal embroidery, and creative architectural elements.
Denzil Pillay acknowledges that men have insecurities too, and with this collection encourages them to embrace who they are, and what they wish to wear, regardless of the labels society places on them.
