About The Lavender Swan

The Lavender Swan (TLS) was established in June 2020 and is the result of Siphiwe Machinya and Kay Niskanen’s consolidated experience in the fashion world. After a bright career abroad in the fashion and styling concierge business, the duo moved to Cape Town with one goal in mind: to build a fashion powerhouse with unique clothing selections and exclusive personal style services, which include a detailed Style Assessment to ensure that our customers are well dressed in our exclusive limited pieces.

The two designers tracked the history and evolution of fashion throughout the centuries and have developed an interest to blend traditional designs with contemporary styles, ethnic influences, and locally crafted materials, embracing their roots while forging a new path through South Africa’s budding fashion industry.
